The Scholarship is in honor of our son who passed away at the age of 22, from Sudden Cardiac Death. This award has been given yearly for ten years now and our hope is that it continues, like the memories of him.

Thomas was an athlete from the age of five years old, until his passing, where he trained and competed as a Decathlete for Arkansas State University. We encourage those who have student athletes to be scanned for this condition. Regular sports physicals do not detect this condition as it is an enlarged heart and can only be seen in a scan and distress not heard by listening.

Never Stop...

Thomas would always tell his friends and his teammates when they wanted to give up or quit, (in whatever sport at the time he was playing in or competing in), to "Never Stop", if they wanted to win or better themselves and improve their personal best! He would say, Never Stop if you want to succeed!

A lot of his college friends adopted the phrase and still to this day, use "Never Stop" in stories they tell or when they post on social media, that they are working to succeed in their career ladder or find that special someone who will be the love of their life, they will use a hashtag and the words at the end of their post. #NeverStop
